Article I- Name The name of the organization shall be the Ross Band Booster Organization.

Article II-Objectives (Purposes)

The objectives of this organization shall be:

  • Section 1- Said organization is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
  • Section 2- Upon the dissolution of the organization, assets shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code, or shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local government, for public purpose.  Any such assets not disposed of shall be disposed of by a court of competent jurisdiction in the county in which the principal office of the organization is then located, exclusively for such purposes or to such organization or organizations, as said Court shall determine, which are organized and operated exclusively for such purposes.
  • Section 3- To support and encourage the musical education programs of the Ross bands and auxiliary groups for all students.
  • Section 4- To promote pride and excellence in performance by the Ross bands and auxiliary groups.
  • Section 5- To supplement the financial support of the band programs. Financial support shall include those areas which the Board does not fund and to those approved by the Ross Band Booster membership.

Article III- Membership

The membership of this organization shall be open to all parents or guardian of students enrolled in the Ross bands and auxiliary groups, alumni, friends of the Ross schools and all other adults interested in the promotion and support of the Ross bands.

Article IV- Officers

  • Section 1- The officers of the organization shall be a president, a vice-president, a secretary, and a treasurer.
  • Section 2- The directors of Ross District band and auxiliary groups, and district principals or their designated representatives shall be officers ex-officio.

Article V- Meetings

  • Section 1- The organization shall hold at least six regular monthly meetings per school year.
  • Section 2- Special meetings may be called at the discretion of the president or a majority of the Executive committee.
