Taryn Valentino

Taryn Valentino

  • Taryn is a flag captain in the RHS Color Guard, and she plays percussion in the concert band.
  • Her favorite band memory is going to Disney World with her friends and eating a bunch of food at Epcot.
  • Outside of band, she's a four year veteran of the RHS Show Choir along with being Vice President of the show choir.  She is also President of the concert choir.
  • After graduation, Taryn plans to attend the University of Cincinnati at their school of art.  She plans on majoring in Fine Arts with a minor in Business.  After graduating with a bachelors degree, she wants to train to become an ocularist, a professional prosthetic eye maker/painter.

Drew Miller

Drew Miller

  • Drew plays in the front ensemble for marching band, and plays percussion in the Concert Band.
  • His favorite memory of band is playing the rack in his freshmen year.
  • Outside of band, Drew likes to listen to rock music and go to rock concerts when he can.
  • After graduation, he plans on going to a four year college and majoring in Arts and Communications.

Anna Smith

Anna Smith

  • Anna plays the Mellophone in the marching band and she plays the French Horn in the concert band.
  • Her favorite memory was in her sophomore year at the Hamilton band competition, when, as Lindsay and she were stretching their legs, Lindsay accidentally kicked her mellophone and it went air-born.
  • Outside of band, Anna works and likes to spend time with her family and friends.
  • After graduation, she plans to attend Northern Kentucky University to study respiratory therapy for neonatal.

Lindsay Gottlieb

Lindsay Gottlieb

  • Lindsay is a Drum Major for the Marching Band and she plays the flute for the Concert Band.
  • Her favorite thing about band is learning everything from the upperclassmen when she was a freshmen and being able to pass that on as an upperclassmen. 
  • Her favorite memory was going to Disney.  She states it truly is the happiest place on earth and she loved spending every minute of it with friends and band families.
  • Outside of band, Lindsay is a member of the National Honor Society, VP of the Earth Club, Student Body Secretary, a member of the Mock Trial Team, member of the Spanish Club, and she works at Panera.
  • After graduation, she hopes to attend Northwester University in Evanston, Illinois to major in Communication Sciences & Disorders, and a minor in Spanish.

Tim Sullivan

Tim Sullivan

  • Tim plays the Alto Saxophone in the RHS Marching Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, and Jazz Band.
  • His favorite memory was playing "Careless Whisper" with Austin dressed up as the sax men at band camp.
  • Outside of band, Tim is a member of the RHS Show Choir Band.
  • After graduation, Tim plans to go to the University of Cincinnati to study computer engineering.

Audrey Schlembach

Audrey Schlembach

  • Audrey plays the Mellophone in the marching band, and the Bassoon in the concert band.  She is also in the jazz band where she plays the keyboard.
  • Her favorite part of band was raising helpless freshman with Anna.
  • Outside of band, Audrey is on the Academic Team, and she is a member of the Earth Club.  She also enjoys sleeping.
  • After graduation, Audrey plans to study physics and the mysteries of the universe.

Steve Sullivan

Steve Sullivan

  • Steve plays the trumpet in the marching band, concert band, and jazz band.
  • His favorite part of band is marching every field he walks into.
  • Outside of band, Steve is involved with pep and jazz band within the band.  Additionally, he's a musician in the show choir band and he helps with plays at Ross.
  • After graduation, Steve plans to on going to college to study some type of engineering.

Kat Shelton

  • Kat is a member of the RHS Color Guard.  She performs with flags and air blades.
  • Her favorite memory was the state marching band finals this year because that day was so overwhelming to her and showed her how much she has accomplished over her amazing 4 years.
  • Outside of band she works at Bob Evans, eats potato chips, reads, and draws.
  • After graduation, Kat plans on attending Bowling Green to obtain a degree in acting and makeup.  One day she aspires to help make movie magic, especially with latex makeup.

Zachary Wurzelbacher

Zachary Wurzelbacher

  • Zach plays the tenors for the marching band, all percussion instruments for the concert band, and drum set for the jazz band.  He also participates in OMEA Solo & Ensemble, and District 13 Honor Band.
  • His favorite thing about band is being in the marching band.  His favorite memory was marching and performing for the large crowd at Walt Disney World.
  • Outside of band, Zach is a member of the National Honor Society, he is on the varsity tennis team, he is a member of the Snow Sports Club, he plays baseball for MRAA, and he is the drummer in the rock band X-Wave.
  • After graduation, Zach plans to attend The Ohio State University or the University of Cincinnati to study Aerospace Engineering.  He will continue in music by auditioning for the OSU or UC marching band and for DCI in 2016.

  • Hannah is a member of the RHS Color Guard 
  • Her favorite band memory was getting to spend spring break with all her friends in Walt Disney World last year.
  • Outside of color guard, Hannah is the National Honor Society's secretary, she is involved in the Earth Club, and she enjoys hanging out with her friends.  Mostly, Hannah is dedicated to color guard.
  • After graduation, Hannah plans to attend The Ohio State University to study bio-medical sciences.

  • Austin plays the Alto Saxophone in marching, concert and jazz band. 
  • His favorite band memory is when the band marched in Walt Disney World in Florida.
  • Outside of band some of Austin's hobbies include Boy Scouts, National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society.
  • After graduation, Austin plans on attending Bowling Green State University to major in Spanish and minor in Music.

Savannah Featherstone

  • Savannah plays the clarinet and the base clarinet in the marching band and concert band.
  • She likes band because it is truly a "team" sport - everyone participates, unlike other sports.  Her favorite memory is the fun car rides home from performances with Clay Stevens in her freshman and sophomore year.
  • Outside of band, she is the president of the Art Club, she belongs to her church youth group, and she works at Stricker's Grove.
  • After graduation, Savannah plans to study radio broadcasting or major in something to do with art, either at Miami University or the University of Cincinnati.

  • Emma is a Drum Major in the marching band, and she plays the clarinet for concert band.
  • Her favorite band memory was when the band took the trip to Disney.  The whole experience was amazing for her and being with friends made it even better.
  • Outside of band, she is involved in the Cincinnati Donauschwaben Society as a member of the youth group.  She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Earth Club, and she volunteers in the community.
  • After graduation, Emma plans to go to college to study a BSN Nursing Program.

Ashlee Chadwick

Ashlee Chadwick

  • Ashlee is in the RHS Color Guard.  She states she "plays" the flag, along with rifle, airblade, and any other color guard weapon you can throw at her.
  • Her favorite thing about color guard is getting a chance to be a captain and to help all the girls grow and progress.  She states that they do a lot of bonding and become basically like a family by the end of the season.  Her favorite band memory would be accepting the "Overall Best Color Guard" award at competition last year, and running up to and hugging a stranger with the award - Oh, then breaking the trophy on the bus ride back to home.
  • Outside of Color Guard, Ashlee is a sandwich artist at Subway, she is the Senior Class President, a VBS volunteer, and a member of the NHS.  She also volunteers in the art program at Morgan Elementary.
  • After graduation Ashlee plans to attend The Ohio State University to complete a degree in either Molecular Genetics or Advertising Marketing.  She also hopes to become a member of the Bluecoats, with the overall goal to coach her own squad.
