Laura Headley

Laura Headley

  • Laura is a member of the RHS Marching and Concert Band.  She has played the clarinet since middle school.
  • Her favorite memory of band is Olivia and Clay and also going to Disney World during her Freshman year.
  • Outside of band, she enjoys church, sign language and just hanging with her friends and family.
  • After graduation, Laura plans to go to Liberty University in Virginia and study Child Life Specialist, Interpretation and Missions.

Jacob Reid

Jacob Reid

  • Jacob plays the Alto Sax in both the RHS Marching and Concert Bands.  He also plays the Tenor Sax in the RHS Jazz Band.
  • His favorite band memory is the trip to Disney World.
  • Outside of band, his hobbies include participating in FIRST Robotics Competitions, tennis, Pokémon, show choir and SNC Youth Group.
  • After graduation, Jacob plans to go to Miami University to major in Chemistry.

Angel Wirtley

Angel Wirtley

  • Angel is in the RHS Marching Band, Concert Band and Pep Band.  She plays the mellophone and French horn.
  • Her favorite band memory is making Sarah and Katelin believe she shook hands with Kevin Jones at the Washington, DC parade.
  • Outside of band, Angel enjoyes playing video games.
  • After graduation, she plans to go to college and possible study art.

Nathan Soundappan

Nathan Soundappan

  • Nathan plays the trombone for the RHS Marching Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band.  He also plays in the RHS Show Choir Combo and plays in the musical pit.
  • His favorite memory while in band is when he and Morgan were wrestling in the band room during Halloween and ran into Andrew and spilled Mt. Dew all over the clarinets like a fountain.
  • Outside of band, Nathan likes rock climbing, tennis and working out.
  • After graduation, Nathan plans to go to Miami University, Oxford and double major in Computer Science and Interactive Media Studies

Kelly Ellis

KELLY ELLIS

  • Kelly plays the flute for the marching band and the bassoon in concert band.
  • Her favorite marching band memory was from Tag Day when the man at the door shouted "Down Ringo" at his dog and Ringo the person looked at him and laughed.
  • Outside of band, she likes to bowl and has done so for the varsity bowling team at Ross.  She also plays her bassoon in any spare time she can find.
  • After graduation, Kelly plans to attend a college for a major in Music Education and plans to minor in Bassoon Performance.  She then hopes to obtain a doctorate in both areas.

Sam Hauenstein

Sam Hauenstein

  • Sam plays the trumpet in the RHS Marching, Concert, Jazz and Show Choir Band.
  • His favorite band memories are the Washington, D.C. trip and band camp narrations and making nicknames for Schwab.
  • Outside of band, he enjoys flying, Scouts and hanging out with his friends.
  • After graduation, Sam plans to attend The University of Cincinnati to become an airline pilot and possible join the Air Force Reserves.

Christy Schmitt

Christy Schmitt

  • Christy plays the trumpet in the RHS Marching Band, Concert Band and Pep band.
  • Her favorite band memory is from sectionals at band camp during her freshman year when she hummed her part instead of playing because she was too scared to play by herself.  She NEVER heard the last of that!
  • Outside of band, she plays varsity soccer and track and field.  She also likes to go to concerts with Charleigh Scaggs.
  • After graduation, Christy plans to attend UC for their A.M.I.T. program and hopes to participate in track and maybe join their band.

Nikki Sundrup

Nikki Sundrup

  • Nikki is the drum major in the marching band and plays the trombone in the concert band.
  • Her favorite band memory is going to Washington DC and getting the opportunity to lay the wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier.
  • She is also in show choir and enjoys playing recreational sports.
  • After graduation, Nikki plans on attending Miami University, Oxford for either business or engineering.

Josh Koons

Josh Koons

  • Josh plays the snare drum in the marching band and all percussion instruments in the concert band.  He plays the base guitar in the RHS Jazz band.
  • His favorite memory was the band's trip to Disney World and he enjoyed the weekly band competitions.
  • Outside of band, Josh plays on the tennis team, is a member of the National Honor Society, and plays the bass guitar in the band X-Wave.
  • After graduation, Josh plans on attending Miami University in Oxford with a double major in finance and engineering.

Brady Smith

Brady Smith

  • Brady plays the Tenor Saxophone in the RHS Marching Band and Concert Band.
  • His favorite band memory was going to Walt Disney World in his sophomore year.
  • Outside of band, he is involved in the Boy Scouts and tractors.  Brady is currently building the new Directors observation tower for marching band as an Eagle project.
  • After graduation, Brady plans on going to college to obtain a degree in agronomy.

Sara Winsted

Sara Winsted

  • Sara plays the flute in the marching band and concert band.  She plays the piccolo in the pep band and the piano in the jazz band.
  • Her favorite memory is from her junior year when she says that everyone got along better that year than most.
  • Outside of band she dedicates her life to the church and her relationship with God.  She is also in show choir, mixed choir, youth group, sign language club, earth club, volunteering, missions work, and doing work at a modeling agency.
  • After graduation, Sara plans to become financially stable while doing what she loves; performing and  participating in teen counseling.  She eventually hopes to become a missionary.

Zach Eils

  • Zach plays Tenor Saxophone in the marching band and Bari Saxophone in the concert band.
  • His favorite memory of band was getting the first "1" at Loveland High School his freshman year.
  • Outside of band, Zach plays the guitar and during the summer he works at Wurzelbacher Fields.
  • After graduation, Zach plans to pursue a career in mortuary science at The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
